42 Weeks

On June 30th, Luc turned 42 weeks old. Luc is about 21 pounds now and started wearing size 5 diapers this week. He has been a bit fussy because his upper left and upper right teeth are coming in. We tried puffs again this week and Luc seemed to like them a bit more. He still made faces, but he kept eating them. He refuses to let anyone feed him, he wants to do everything himself. Luc tried sweet potato fires while we were at the beach. He was making faces again, but he kept eating them (most of the fries were ending up on the floor, but some of it had to have made it to his stomach. We also gave Luc blueberries this week, which shocker, he didn't seem to like. He kept making faces and spitting them out. Luc's been having seperation anxiety lately which has been hard on both of us.

Movie with Hudson

On June 30th, I took Hudson to the movies. Regal does this thing called Summer Movie Express where they show kid movies for $1. It is perfect because it takes the pressure off. It is all kids so no worrying when Hudson didn't understand the concept of whispering, or watching instead of chatting. The movie was really cute and Hudson actually did a great job watching it. He even asked to sit on my lap half way through it so I got lots of cuddles. I was a little nervous about the bathroom/underwear situation, but Hudson went before the movie then swore he didn't have to go after. Of course, he waited until we pulled out of the movie theater parking lot to realize he did in fact need to go to the bathroom. Thankfully, he made it home without an accident. I love creating these special memories with by boy!

41 Weeks

On June 23rd, Luc turned 41 weeks old. He had his 9 month doctor appointment this week, tried avocado for the first time and did not like it, and tried pancake for the first time, which was a hit. Luc is walking well holding the dog, car and bike. He is also waving his right hand constantly.

Snowden Wedding

On June 20th, Nic and I went to Kim and Sean's wedding. The ceremony took place at Kim's church in Newport Beach. Kim was a stunning bride and we all had fun taking photos afterwards.

The reception was at the Villa in San Juan Capistrano. It was a really cool venue and we had a great time!

Food, a Playdate and Gymboree

On June 17th, Luc was looking adorable eating his avocado. He was not a fan, haha.

Then we went to Jessica Coleman's house for a playdate. The boys had so much fun playing with Sage in her pirate water table.

On June 18th, I took Luc to Gymboree. He is such a crack up.

Luc 9 Month Doctor Appointment

On June 17th, Luc had his 9 month doctor appointment. He weighed 20 pounds 10 ounces and was 29 1/2 inches long. Luc is growing great and seems to be healthy. He was a happy little guy until he had to get his shots. After a few tears and cuddles from mama though, he was good as new.

40 Weeks

On June 16th, Luc turned 40 weeks old. Luc is waving now and clapping for himself. I began a much more conservative weaning schedule for Luc this week and he seems to be responding a bit better than he did to our previous sleep training attempts. Luc's personality is really starting to develop and he has an opinion about everything now. He hates having his diaper or clothes changed, He tries to roll over and crawl away. He has been biting me at the end of almost every nursing session lately. Luc is getting much better at standing. He is much sturdier and can stand on his own for a few seconds. He is getting better at waving and clapping with only a verbal cue. He started kiwi and rice cake teether things this week.

Mom's Club Kid's Craft

On June 15th, we went to the park for a kid's craft with our mom's group. The boys had a great time! Hudson made a Father's Day frame for dada and Luc chewed on one of the popsicle sticks.

DDD Dinner

On June 14th, I met my sorority sisters in Santa Monica for dinner. We knew Leslie was having a hard time and we all wanted to be there for her and help her through this. We had a really nice time. I love these girls so much and love that we still make the effort to get together years after college.

Amy Jackson's Sprinkle

On June 14th, I went to Amy Jackson's sprinkle. She is having her third little girl! Her first isn't much older than Hudson so it is hard to wrap my brain around the idea of three when I can barely handle two at the moment, but I know she will be amazing at it. Nadia hosted the event at her mom's house and it was really nice. They had a gorgeous brunch of waffles, nutella, parfait station, donuts, etc. Everything was delicious! We painted mini canvas squares for the baby's room. Then we watched Amy open up her gifts. It was a really fun party and I'm glad I was able to help celebrate this beautiful new baby and her mama. (5 out of 10 of us from our freshman cheer squad were there, which I thought was pretty cool-myself, Jillian, Amy, Nadia and Stacey)
