On Christmas night we skyped Nic's parents to tell them. We were going over presents we had gotten and the presents they had opened from us. Nic said, we have one more gift for you, Crystal do you want to go get it. I stood up (I had the bow on again) and said, "We got you a gift, but it won’t be here until August." Susan immediately gasped and started crying. Rob teared up a bit too. They said It was the best Christmas present.
A few weeks later, while we were up in Mammoth, we shared the news with Nic's siblings. In the middle of a conversation, Nic non-chalantly said, "Crystal's pregnant." Everyone looked a bit caught off guard, probably because he had shared the news so casually, then they all smiled and congratulated us.
