4 Year Wedding Anniversary

We spent our actual anniversary in the Everglades, but planned a special anniversary dinner for Saturday night in Key West. We got to take a boat ride over to a private island called Sunset Key. The island was so beautiful and the restaurant was right on the beach with the most gorgeous view! They only had a few tables set up really spaced out to make everyone feel like they were the only ones there. We had a delicious appetizer of crab stuffed shrimp wrapped in maple barbecue glazed bacon with key lime mustard. For dinner I got crab stuffed parmesan crusted scallops with mushroom risotto, arugula and the most delicious sauce! It was my favorite meal of the entire trip! Nic got the coconut crusted grouper with Chinese black rice, baby bok choy and mango lemongrass sauce. For dessert we got some strawberry, banana nutella thing that was a bit too rich for us. The highlight of the dinner was obviously the stunning sunset. It was absolutely gorgeous and made the already wonderful dinner so romantic and special. After dinner, we had time to kill before the ferry left so we walked around the hotel. We made our way onto the beach and could hear music from a wedding reception being held a little ways up the beach. We were the only ones out there having a little dance party on the beach. It was so fun. We also watched as a thunder and lightning storm rolled in. It was such a beautiful and memorable night!
