LAX>MIAMI>HOMESTEAD

On Wednesday, May 23, Nic and I left for our Anniversary Trip/Babymoon adventure in Florida. I was really excited, but pretty nervous about flying while pregnant. I drank about 10 cups of water on the flight and constantly got up to walk around. When we arrived in Miami one of my legs was slightly swollen, but other than that, the flight went well. 


We hopped in our rental car and off we went. We decided to stop in Coconut Grove at Monty's for a bite to eat. It was right on the water in a marina and the second that ocean air hit our faces we felt relaxed. Nic got a delicious looking Pina Colada to kick off the trip (I enjoyed water). We got the most moist fish and chips and fried shrimp and split the two while listening to live music. It was a great way to start off the trip.

When we got to the Hampton Inn in Homestead it was slightly raining. It was that warm, tropical rain though. We checked-in and enjoyed fresh, hot chocolate chip cookies and hot chocolate before going to bed.
