4th of July

On July 4th, we knew we couldn't do much to celebrate because of my bed rest so when Lindsay invited us over we figured that would be perfect. She was only having a few people over and we live really close so we knew if I started having contractions we could always get back home quickly.


It was a lot of fun! Of course, Lindsay put together a fabulous spread. We had corn on the cob, salad, fruit salad, pasta salad, bbq chicken burgers, hot dogs, flank steak, and fries. It was delicious! For dessert we had brownies, cookies, and strawberry shortcake skewers. It was a gorgeous afternoon so we all ate outside, then we watched the Valencia fireworks from their balcony while listening to the coordinating music on our local radio station. 

I also got to catch up with Melissa, who is pregnant with twin boys. It was fun to talk to someone going through all the same things and we also had fun comparing bellies. In the photo, I am 33 weeks pregnant and I believe Melissa is 24 weeks pregnant. We decided we are carrying very similarly and we think our bellies are almost the exact same size (I think mine might be a tiny bit bigger). 

Nic and I had a great time and we are glad we still got to celebrate the 4th. Thanks Mirkovich Family for having us over!!
