Nic's Birthday

Nic turned 29 on the 19th of August. We didn't do much to celebrate. We just went to Olive Garden to have the endless pasta bowl for dinner (which was a big disappointment compared to last year, FYI). It was really fun though and everyone else enjoyed their food and Nic and I enjoyed the bread sticks, soup and salad. After dinner, we came home and had our favorite salted caramel cupcakes from Velvet cupcakes. As we were going to bed that night, I apologized for not doing much for Nic's birthday this year and promised that I would make it up to him next year on his 30th. Then it hit us. Next year, I will be planning Hudson's very important 1st birthday. Nic realized his 30th might be taking a backseat. Then we realized that Hudson's 21st will be Nic's 50th. I guess it's a good thing Hudson and Nic aren't sharing the exact same birthday after all. Poor Nic!!
