On September 20th, we took a little drive to Vegas (technically just outside of Vegas) for Inspiration Unlimited (IU). IU is a scrapbooking event my mom, Tomi and I attend every year (well since last year). It is two full days of inspiring scrapbook classes, going out to eat, outlet shopping and a spa day (I had to skip the spa day this year). There is a waiting list to get in so you have to commit to the event a year in advance, so Nic came along with me this year so I didn't have to miss out.
Luckily for us, Hudson loves the car. He sleeps the entire time, only waking up when he is hungry. On our way through the Mojave desert we noticed that tons of cars were stopped near Edwards Air Force Base and we realized they were waiting to see the Space Shuttle Endeavor. We kind of wished we could stop to see it too, but new we had to keep going because of the little guy. All of a sudden, Nic spotted it, so we pulled off the road and I quickly grabbed the camera and snapped a photo. It was pretty exciting to see it! :)
Since Hudson was doing so well, we also quickly stopped and took photos with the World's Tallest Thermometer in Baker. We decided it was an important photo op and worth the 5 minute side trip.
We did have one little issue at the Outlets when Hudson spat up his entire feeding all over me! It was pretty shocking and made a huge mess. Even after that, he was really good at the outlets while Nic and I shopped and only got a bit fussy that evening at the hotel (we assumed because missing that feeding had messed him up and he seemed to be playing catch up).
