After we did the kitchen remodel and the built in BBQ in the backyard, we were left with a dead lawn in the front where the construction workers trampled it every day and a moat in the back. Nic has been talking about updating our irrigation system for a while and it seemed like the perfect time to do a yard makeover. *I promise this will be our last big project for a while* (especially since we still don't have furniture in our kitchen and need to focus on things like that for a while!!). We met with a few landscapers, got quotes, and picked one.

We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. Our landscaper was such a pleasure to work with. Everything was done efficiently and on schedule. We were updated every day. They checked in and had us approve things each step of the way. They actually charged us exactly what they quoted us. They constantly come by (weeks after they finished) to check and make sure everything is working as it should. The ground cover, flowers and plants will take some time to grow so it doesn't have that finished product look yet, but it already feels so much cleaner and more organized. Our backyard has always been green and beautiful, but it looked a bit disheveled and once we did out construction it looked a bot cramped. Now that we have a fire pit area, it looks roomy again. We can't wait to start having friend's over for BBQs and s'mores. ;) (Well, just roasted marshmallows for me).
