16 Months
On December 22nd Hudson turned 16 months old. Hudson now says knock knock while knocking on the door. He has started trying to repeat everything we say. He says thank you. He now screams to get our attention, which isn't ideal. He makes a kissing sound now when he blows kisses. He signs milk now and it makes us laugh every time. He tries to say body parts, but mostly just makes the first sound of each word. He says baba for bottles, which we introduced at the end of November. He says num num for medicine and mum mum (which sounds a lot like mama) for his pacifier. He makes an awwww sound anytime he cuddles a person, stuffed animal or his blankie. He has been suddennly waking up about once a night to nurse. He can reach up and grab things off counters now. He stands on his tippy toes and tries to open doors. He still pulls faces or twists his head to make eye contact so he can point at what he wants. He sticks his tongue out like Miley Cyrus (uncle Ty Ty taught him this trick). He dances and sings when you ask him what the fox says. He flaps his arms to mimic birds and flexes his muscles and grunts when we tell him something is hard work. Earlier in the month, I added dairy back into my diet and Hud seems to be doing fairly well with it. Hudson's buttom right molar came in so he now has 11 teeth. Hudson also sings Jingle Bells, which just melts my heart. Hudson suddenly likes saying ya more than no!! He uses ya, no and more to clearly communicate what he wants and doesn't want. I've also tried to add cooked (in baked goods) allergies to my diet to see how Hudson reacts. Hudson also said Stu, Dumbo and Gymbo.
