Christmas

Here is a photo of my little Santa Baby!

On December 25th, we went up to my parent's house to celebrate Christmas. We had our usual, delicious breakfast of Oma's potatoes (Nic and I made them), Grandma's scalloped eggs (made by Sabrina) and scrapple (made by my mom), applesauce sausage, bacon and hot apple cider (made by my dad). This is one of my favorite meals of the entire year!

After breakfast we opened stockings. Hudson was hilarious opening his. He would pull one thing out at a time and make a shocked, open-mouth face. Then he would play with the toy until everyone begged him to continue pulling items out of the stocking. He was cracking us all up!

After stockings, we opened presents. Hudson provided tons of entertainment again. He loved the tissue paper and had great reactions for each gift. Do you see how excited he is over a cup?!! haha. He made Christmas so fun for everyone!
After we opened gifts, Sabrina, Tyler, Justin and Nic left for the Laker Game. The Lakers lost, but they still had a great time.

While they were gone, this is what I was dealing with! I put Hudson to bed in the pack n play in Justin's old room, but it was too bright with too many distractions. When I went to check on him, he was standing up grabbing things off the counter and pulling them into his bed. He had such a guilty look on his face. I took my very over-tired boy out and tried cuddling him on the couch. He was not thrilled with the couch idea! Next I tried using the new carrier Sabrina got us for Christmas. It took a lot of effort, but Hud finally fell asleep. I was exhausted!!

That night, we had dinner at my parent's house and opened more presents. Nic and I bought Hudson a basketball hoop. Hudson was really excited until he realized it was in a box and he couldn't immediately play with it. Then overtired Hudson came out and a tantrum occured.

My parents got Hudson a car! Hudson was so excited about it until it actually started moving. Then he got freaked out and was over it. (I think in general it was a big day for him and not napping did not help matters).

We took our usual family photos in front of the tree, ate the roast dinner my mom made, opened our crackers, then headed home after a long, but extremely fun day.
