2011 Ornament

Every year Nic and I purchase an ornament for our tree. Check out this post to see our past ornaments. All year I was hoping that this year's ornament would include a baby bump. I had even seen one last year that I wanted to buy, but Nic told me I was crazy and needed to wait until I was actually pregnant. Once I started having my fertility problems the dream of the baby bump ornament seemed to slip away. When I had my surgery and realized that by the time I had my post-op appointment and started my next cycle of Clomid it would be the new year, I completely gave up on my baby bump ornament.

I was pretty sad and had no idea what ornament I was going to pick out instead.

The few days before I took a pregnancy test, when I had some strange symptoms and was getting my hopes up, all I kept thinking about was getting a positive result, going to the mall to get a baby bump ornament, buying special presents for my family for Christmas and the way I would share my news.
I couldn't beleive my eyes when we actually found out we were pregnant that weekend! We went to the mall that afternoon and got the baby bump ornament!
