On June 20th we went in to my doctor's office for an ultrasound. I hadn't had one since my 20 week scan and she wanted to see how our little guy was growing and make sure everything looked ok. He was so much bigger than the last ultrasound we had. She could only get in small bits of him at once, but he looked perfect!!! At my apt. the week before, my doctor told me he was head up so I've
been telling him all week that sometime soon he needs to flip and he listened!
He was head down. He is such a good little boy already. ;) She said his
heart looked great and all his measurements were perfect. She said he is the
perfect size based on my due date-not too big and not too small, in fact using
all his measurements, my due date was estimated at Aug. 20th (only one day off from my actual due date). Now I just have to
do my best to keep him in there until then. He currently weighs 3lbs. 7 oz. and
she guessed that he is about 13 inches long, but said it is only a guess because
he is curled up in the fetal position. She said he looks really long with big
hands and feet so she thinks he will be above average in length when he is born.
My amniotic fluid looked great and she said she could tell that I drink a ton of
water. She showed us his fingers, toes, spine, everything and he looks just
perfect!! She kept saying how cute he is and we couldn't agree more! He is
starting to look chubbier and it made us really excited for our next 4D
ultrasound. She also reconfirmed that he is in fact a boy so we are 3/3 so that
is good. :) Hearing so much good news from the ultrasound was great, especially after the tough week we had. Knowing he is doing well inside makes me even more motivated to keep him cooking as long as possible.
