Christmas Eve

We started off Christmas Eve with breakfast at Mimi's. Lindsay, Tim, Brooke, Gracie, Sabrina and Justin all joined us. It was a lot of fun! 

After breakfast, Nic and I went home to finish up with some cooking and wrapping. We took some photos in front of the tree before we left for the evening.

 Nic, Hudson and I went to the Wakefield Winter Wonderland to look at all the Christmas lights before we went to Oma and Opa's house for Christmas Eve. Hudson was asleep at first, but once he woke up, he loved it!! There were so many lights straight above his head that he just kept staring at in awe!! It was so fun and I can't wait to continue this tradition as Hudson gets older.

After the Christmas lights, we went to Oma and Opa's house. We got to see our newly engaged cousin Aubrey and her fiance. We enjoyed delicious turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, peas, stuffing and sauerkraut. For dessert, we had cookies, oreo truffles, and cupcakes. We opened presents, took photos and enjoyed each other's company. We don't see our family that often so it was nice to all be together plus Oma and Opa aren't getting any younger, so I always try to treasure the moments I get to spend with them.

 Justin spent that night at our house. On the way home, we looked at the Christmas lights in our neighborhood. We came home and finished up some cooking and watched Elf. We watch it every year with Justin and usually Nic and I fall asleep in the first 5 minutes, but this year we watched the entire thing! Must be because we are so used to not sleeping these days. :)
