We celebrated Christmas at my parent's house just like we do every year. We started the morning off opening stockings. Hudson got a ton of cool stuff including a dumbbell rattle, a 1st Christmas rattle and a mustache pacifier.
After opening stockings, we enjoyed the delicious Christmas breakfast, which is easily one of my favorite meals of the year. We had scrapple, scalloped eggs (Grandma's recipe), scalloped potatoes (Oma's recipe), applesauce sausage from Shreiners, bacon, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls from cinnabon and my dad's delicious hot apple cider.
After eating, we opened presents. It was so fun to help Hudson open his presents. He really loved pulling the tissue paper out and eating it. Hudson got so many wonderful presents. My parents got him an exersaucer, Nic's parents got him the Fisher Price Stride-to-Ride Puppy, and we got him the piano activity set, tons of books and baby videos. He also got a bunch of clothes, mostly from Auntie Beena, but some from my parents too. Hudson got my mom and Sabrina special gifts this year. They each got a cell phone case and an ornament.
After all the festivities,we took some photos in front of the tree.
Then Nic, Sabrina, Tyler and Justin left for the Christmas Laker game. The Christmas Day Laker Game has become a bit of a tradition also.
While they were at the game, Hudson played with all his new toys!
It was such a fun day! Hudson made it especially great. It was fun to help him open presents and watch him get excited over new toys. I know Christmas time will continue to be extra special now that we have Hud in our lives. I hope he had a wonderful first Christmas!!
