On February 22nd, Hudson had his 6 month doctor appointment. The first thing Dr. Sethi commented on was how bad his rash was. She couldn't believe how happy he seemed despite his rash. She said most babies with a rash as bad as his would just be crying all the time. I told her that I had called the dermatologist concerned because it had gotten so much worse and insisted that I come back in. Dr. Sethi said she wasn't even comfortable making him suffer through the weekend and prescribed him some oil. She also said she felt it was necessary for Hudson to get allergy tested before we start solids. She was too nervous to give him anything before getting his rash under control. I was disappointed because I know how much Hudson wants to try solids, but I also know it is better to err on the side of caution. We both agreed that my diet must be playing a role since it flared up so bad when I went off my diet, but Dr. Sethi told me not to change anything until we see the allergy doctor. Other than all that drama, Hudson was perfectly healthy. He weighed 16 pounds 11 ounces (35th %), 27 inches in length (69th %). They didn't measure his head this time so I don't have stats on that, but I can guess that it is pretty big and somewhere in the 80-90%. I forgot my camera so I only have one photo taken on Nic's camera phone.
