4th of July

My dad wanted us to go for a helicopter ride with him and Sabrina and my mom wanted us to go watch the Acton parade with her. We decided to skip both and just meet up with my family later at my parent's house. Here is a photo my mom took at the parade though. Maybe next year Hudson will be old enough to enjoy the parade. 

We took some photos at the house, then packed up all the delicious desserts I made and headed over to my parent's house. 

We had a delicious BBQ lunch and played in the pool.

That night, I convinced Nic to let Hudson stay up past his bedtime so we could all go watch the fireworks from the mall. While waiting for the firweworks show to start, we watched tons of other far away shows and we watched tons of people do sparklers. Hudson was so excited! The sound of the first few fireworks frightened Hud a little, but despite that, he really loved it! He fell asleep towards the end, but in general he had a great time and I totally think it was worth keeping him up past his bedtime for. Plus it was a night I will never forget. Having Hudson lean on my shoulder while we watched the fireworks together was so special.
