I know I blog way too many details of my life, but I feel like life is going by so fast and Hudson keeps changing in the blink of an eye. I have this desire to remember as many details as possible (I also have a terrible memory) so I think this is my way of trying to ensure that I don't forget the every day details of Hudson's childhood.
First things first, I am a hoarder. Not an extreme hoarder, but I do have a problem. I cleaned out my closet a while ago, but instead of actually parting with my old clothes, I just placed them in our spare room. Since Nic's mom, sister and nephew will be staying with us in August, we need to clean out that room, so I am forcing myself to part with my old stuff. I wet through everything and separated the clothes into donate, toss and sell. I ended up with 10 trash bags of clothes to donate and 4 to sell. After I finished the clothes mess, Nic got to work on all the documents. It was a lot of work, but the room is now livable, although we still have to find homes (or get rid of) quite a bit more stuff. Baby steps...
It has been beautiful weather lately so I decided to take Hudson out in the backyard (in his pjs because I was being lazy and they looked so comfy). Hudson was having so much fun exploring. He even ate some dirt! Yuck! All I kept thinking was, "I'm on this crazy diet and this kid eats dirt!"
Hudson loves Gymboree and even though it is a weekly event, I find myself taking pictures almost every class. This class was just before the 4th of July and Hudson and his friends, Rachel and Tyler were in the cutest outfits that I just had to get a picture!
One night we enjoyed making s'mores using our firepit. I came up with this brilliant idea to use an oreo as my graham crackers since I can't have Hersheys chocolate because of my allergy diet. It was so good. I named my invention a S'moreo and I highly recommend it. (We used 4th of July red, white and blue star marshmallows so that is why the marshmallow looks a little funny).
