Luc's Nursery

March:
I started out buy making rough layouts of the room using the PB website to get an idea of how the furniture would/could fit in the room. This room is very small so it was really important to do this to figure out what we could fit and what would be the best layout. This is the one we decided on.
Next I used the website olioboard, recommended by Rachelle, to make a storyboard. According to her it is very user friendly, but it took me forever to make my boards. When I showed her what I came up with she laughed and said she would just do it for me. In no time at all she sent this back to me. haha. She is obviously way better at it than I am. lol. This really helped us decide which colors of furniture to get and helped us get a visual before we spent a bunch of money.

April:
We used towels to map out the furniture. The pottery barn app shows everything true to size, but I wanted to double check that everything would fit before ordering big items. We also bought some paint samples and decided on one.

May:
Nic painted the room and some of our furniture began to arrive. We decided to go with a white crib because we figured it would be more versatile in a future room or for a possible baby #3. Once the rug, crib and changing table were in the room it really started to look like a nursery.

June:
The sheets that I ordered from IvieBaby arrived! I ordered grey arrow sheets for the bed and a mint geometric pattern for the changing table. We set it up using Hud's mattress and he immediately asked to test it out. Looks like he approves! haha. He loves coming in this room and calls it "baby's room"

July:
In July, these adorable moccasins I ordered from the Coral Pear arrived. Hudson immediately tried to put them on and grabs them every time he comes in the room. Maybe I will have to get him a pair too. I also got this sign off etsy. We haven't decided where we want to hang it yet, but I just love the quote on it. Our chair arrived from BBB and our side table from Pottery Barn arrived too (the side table was on back order)! The room is really starting to come together!

August:
More of the details arrived this month. The major highlight of the room, the teepee came. Hudson was so excited about it! I figure this will be a great space for him to play in while we are busy with the baby. I'm also hoping the two of them will enjoy playing in it together down the road. It is really cool and looks awesome in the room! Our mobile also arrived. I custom ordered it and the colors were different than expected, but I ended up getting some money back and we still think it looks amazing in the room. The pillow I ordered for the chair arrived, the pillows for the crib arrived (I just love the little wolf pillow) and I ordered an instant download sign for the frame on the side table. We also bought the bed mattress and changing table pad this month and a few other essentials such as the laundry basket and diaper holder arrived too. Right at the end of August, the shutters were completed and installed too. (Not pictured: an awesome basket for the closet arrived and Luc's personalized chair did too!)

September:
The custom Luc sign has arrived! Now that we have that, we were able to decide where to hang everything. I also bought a bunch of storage bins so we could get the closet organized. Nic picked up a rug for the teepee and a container for the changing table from Ikea. All we have left to get are a few pillows for inside the teepee and a birth stats sign like Hudson has (we obviously can't get that until after the baby arrives). So the room is pretty much done!! Yay! Now our little Luc can arrive!
