On Thursday, August 4th, we got up nice and early again to head off on our rainforest adventure. It was just six of us and the morning started off with a cruise down the Daintree River looking for crocs. It was a bit drizzly, which just added to the ambience. We saw quite a few crocodiles, including one pretty big guy. We had all seen crocs before, but seeing any animal out in the wild is always way better. After that we went to Cape Tribulation, which is just gorgeous. We spent some time walking along the special place where the ocean meets the rainforest and then enjoyed a delcious morning snack. After that, we took off on an offroading adventure. We went up and down crazy, steep hills, and drove through streams. I felt like I was on the Indiana Jones ride, it was really fun. At the end of the adventurous drive was a site well worth it. Not only did we see the beautiful Bloomfield Falls, but we also saw a croc basking in the sun. Then we enjoyed a delicious fruit platter. After that, we stopped at a few more stunning beaches, went on an informative rainforest walk, and ended the day with delicious Daintree icecream and Daintree tea (one of my favorite teas). We got back to the hotel really late, so Lauren, Craig and Oliver had already eaten and since Nic had some groomsman duties (going out with the guys and drinking) I spent the evening out with Susan and Rob. We had the most delicious dinner and it was fun spending time just the three of us. At this point, we were starting to feel a bit exhausted, but we were also having a fabulous time.
