On Wednesday, August 3rd, we got up nice and early again (shocking, huh?) to spend the day out on the reef. We all took tons of ginger pills in the hopes of not getting sick, but Susan still fell victim to the rough ride out to the our first scuba/snorkel spot. At the first spot, Nic and I went scuba diving, while Susan and Rob snorkeled. I was a bit nervous since it had been so long since the last time I dove, but once I got under water I began to relax and enjoy the sights. We saw some beautiful coral, colorful fish, and a spotted sting ray (the highlight of the dive). Nic and I sat out the second dive, and instead went snorkeling. The coral was SO beautiful! I don't know if it was the spot or because we were closer to the surface so the sun made the coral brighter, but it was absolutely gorgeous! I could have stayed out there all day. After the snorkel, we sat out on the deck in the sun and enjoyed the most delicious roast beef sandwiches. Then we were off to the third spot for the day. We dove again and it felt just like old times again. We saw another blue spotted sting ray, had some clownfish nibble on our fingers, and saw a wrasse. On the way home, Susan got sick again. :( Other than that, though, it was such a fun day (way too short), but VERY fun! That night we went to a pub for a casual dinner with the whole group.
